Due to reports of herpes infections in the area, we will not be holding our jumper show on March 21.
Our barn is clean at present, and we intend to keep it that way. Accordingly, ship-in schooling is temporarily suspended.
Herpes is spread horse to horse via the respiratory tract through nasal secretions. It is important to know that this virus can also be spread indirectly through contact with physical objects that are contaminated with the virus, for example human contaminated hands or clothing. It is suggested that it may be wise to discontinue visiting other barns until things are again under control, and to confirm that visiting horse professionals (vets, farriers, etc) are taking precautions.
We are hoping to run our April 11 show.
